First and foremost…a follower of Jesus. He’s the ultimate creative and when I look out into the world I can’t help but draw from His creativity- the colors, the lines, the patterns, the textures. It doesn’t start with me. I have never been the beginning of anything I’ve created. In my best moments, I am a continuation of who He is and who He wants me to be.

I’m a mom of 2 beautiful girls, a wife, a little sister, woodworker/welder, I love the cold, give me all the mountains and lakes, I love traveling and could eat Indian Food all day everyday! I love people. I love learning about what makes you YOU and what makes you tick.

I’ve always loved creating with my hands. There is something so rewarding about starting with just materials and seeing them transform throughout every step of the process as the piece comes to life- similarly to what makes a person who they are today.

In 2020 I decided to hop on youtube, as I had 2 small children and needed a creative outlet, and began to teach myself how to do pottery. It is much more extensive than I ever imagined, but I kind of like that because there is no time to get bored. Each stage from beginning to end is so different which is what keeps me hooked. It’s such a fun journey!

Every kind of clay behaves differently on the wheel. Every glaze reacts differently on the clay. Every time before I open the kiln… I’m anxiously awaiting the results of the final firing.

Yeah…it’s my happy place for sure.
